Dream List for page one and two:

1. Basic Grey paper from the Fruitcake line
2. Ink Distressing on paper and chipboard
3. Glimmer Mist on Chipboard Dream
4. Thickers used on title
5. Stamping, stamped small ornaments on tree
6. Shapes, the only items on the layout that are not a rectangle are the tree and the bikes

The Word Dream was used in my title "DREAMS do come true"

Journaling:
Every child dreams of their first bicycle, but Georgia’s disabilities prevented her from riding a regular bicycle. When she was seven she began letting us know her frustration over bikes. Each time we were in a store with bikes, she would state “HoHo please” (this was her way of asking Santa), indicating her interest in a bike. I looked into handicap bikes, but the cost made them impossible. She needed at least three wheels for balance and she was too big for a child’s tricycle. It was frustrating trying to find an affordable solution.

One day I was driving home and found a bike shop with adult tricycles on display. A bulb went off; this might work, so I stopped to get the bikes specifications, dimensions, pricing and colors. Georgia’s bike was ordered within a week so it would arrive in time for Christmas 2005. We got up Christmas morning had breakfast, opened gifts and got the kids dressed. While Georgia was getting dressed we snuck her bike into the house, placed it in front of the tree and waited, the expression and excitement on her face was PRICELESS when she saw her bike. When she began riding her bike, her leg muscles were not strong enough for her to push the pedals in a complete rotation. So she taught herself to push the pedals back and forth until there was enough momentum to move the bike.

It is September 2008 as I scrap these pictures and write the journaling. Georgia LOVES her bike and rides nearly every day. Her leg muscles are now strong enough to complete a rotation of the bike pedals. It’s amazing to watch her fly by the driveway as she rides her bike. Some DREAMS do come true.
