While at a used bookstore over the weekend, I browsed through their two free bins outside. My daughter saw this empty book storage box and tossed it aside. I took the opportunity to bring it home and create something she has been needing - a desktop storage case for her scrapping tools.
Supplies Needed:

* Book Storage Case
* Patterned Paper of Choice
* Coordinating cardstock
* modge podge (or other adhesive)
* scissors
* pencil
* embellishments of choice
Step 1:
Stand the case on one end onto the cardstock Using your pencil, mark a rectangled area around the box about 1/2" bigger than needed. You will fold over the excess and adhered to the sides and bottom of the case.

Step 2:
Although I didn't rough up the surface, you could with a little scrap of sandpaper. I used modge podge to adhere my paper and cardstock.
Apply your adhesive and then adhere your cut cardstock. Once dried, fold down and adhere to the sides and allow to dry. You will need to make a notch on the bottom fold so that it will fold over correctly.
Repeat Step 1 and 2 for the opposite end.
Step 3:
After both ends are completely dry, apply your adhesive over the big sides and bottom of the case. Have your patterned paper face down on your work area and lay the now sticky case on top with the open edge to one edge of the paper.
Note: I used 12x12 sheet of paper and just trimmed off the excess.
Smooth your paper onto the case while smoothing out any air pockets under the paper. Allow to dry and trim off the excess paper.

Step 4:
Embellish as desired.
Finished Project:
This is the finished box before my daughter loaded it with her scrapping tools.

After I gave my daughter the finished case, she couldn't wait to fill it with her scrapping tools.

Note: The step by step and finished pictures are my gallery in their own album if you want to see larger photos.
